Tulsa 66ers Use Second Half Offensive Surge to Claim Win Over The Austin Toros
The Austin Toros were unable to hold off a Tulsa 66ers second half offensive surge allowing the 66ers to come away with a 110-91 Sunday at Cedar Park Center.
The game was tied midway through the third quarter before Tulsa's offense began to take over the game. Elijah Millsap helped power the 66ers offense with his 17 points while Cole Aldrich anchored their defensive effort as he worked to nuetralize Toro center Marcu Cousin who was enroute to a spectacular night with his 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Aldrich finished with seven points while controlling the boards as he totaled 14 rebounds on the night. Tulsa had five players in double figures including Jerome Dyson with 15 points.
Kevin Palmer helped pace the Toro offense with with 17 points. Cousin, who is quickly becoming one of the new leaders on a Toros team that has added several new faces to it's roster after last years playoff run to the D-League Finals, led Austin in scoring with his 22 points.
